One of the biggest and most popular tourist attraction is Branson happens to be Silver Dollar City Amusment Park. Before we even got to Branson, I had heard about this theme park and we knew we were going to take Lucas for his first rides experience. What a BLAST we all had, especially Lucas! At first I was concerned Lucas would not yet be tall enough for any of the rides, but thank goodness he just made their height restriction (like literally by an inch, phew) for the kid and some adult rides too. We bought a 2.5 day pass, but did not take Sam. We all took turns staying back with him as we figured it was too hot for him and he wouldn't get to do anything anyway (maybe in a couple years Sam). :) Silver Dollar City has a western theme with a ton of rides and other attractions. Lucas was such a fun little boy to take to the amusement park as he was not afraid at all and open to ride just about anything we stuck him on. If anything, I was the chicken in the group and will admit often stayed back taking the pictures. That was okay, Lucas is obsessed with his Daddy and was thrilled to be his buddy on all the rides. Before going to the pictures, I just need to take a moment to express how impressed I was by my in laws, Gene and Lonna, who rode every single ride, yes, including the upside down roller coaster (of course Lucas did not do that). :) Can we say WOW....not so bad for 60, well, let's just say something! :) Anyway, they were definitely some fun folks! Enjoy the pictures below.
Daddy also taking part in a little ride on the elephant. Daddy was much more daring then myself and Lucas quickly learned that Daddy would most likely be doing the majority of rides with him.
Layne, Les, Lydia and Lucas before their second time on the water log ride. I did do that one and it was very fun like I remembered it to be. :)
Lucas is sitting in front of Les (can barely see my little guy). He had a blast and Les said he laughed the entire way down.
Daddy and Lucas on the train ride.
The majority of the gang.
The train ride stopped briefly for a little pretend hold up (was pretty funny). This guy came right up to Lucas to let him be apart of the skit too, Lucas thought this was great!
Lucas and Papa taking a break together.
Oops, didn't rotate this one, but this is from their new attraction. It's a little boat ride where the passengers can squirt walking bystanders and vise versa. Not sure who is having more fun, Lucas or Daddy? Ha, ha! :)
Grandma and the girls also taking part in the water gun battle.
