An Early Christmas With Cousins

For the last several years, Layne, Kathy, Lydia and Lindsey will drive from Texas to Tennessee for a two-part/split visit. They will first stop and stay with us for an early Christmas (about 4 days) and then venture to Indiana for actual Christmas with Kathy's family before coming back to us for another 3 days of ringing in the New Year. This post is from their first stop to our house. We all had a great time hanging out and the kids as always had a blast playing with each other. Lydia and Lindsey are so much fun and great mother helpers to the boys. The boys are definitely not short on attention when their big cousins are around, ha ha. :) Lucas and Sam absolutely love their time spent with Lydia and Lindsey. We can't tell Lucas they are coming until the last minute or else he will be too excited to do anything else and will literally ask us every 5 minutes of they are here yet. :) It's also always great getting to catch up with Layne and Kathy as we hadn't seen them since the summer. Below are several pictures we took from this first visit to our house.
There was actually one afternoon that it warmed up enough for the kids to play outside. They all had a great time getting some fresh air.
Sweet boy!

Love this swing shot of Lindsey, what a sweetheart this girl is.

I love this shot of Lindsey and Sam. He walked up to the couch and wanted to get up on her lap, so we put him up there and he stayed for like 10 minutes just chilling with her and watching TV. So sweet! :)
Looks like Sam is getting a very fun ride on his firetruck, courtesy of big cousin Lydia.

If you read a book to Sam, he will be your best friend for life. Grandma must have read him this book 100 times that morning. :)
Everybody wanting to hang out with Aunt Kathy.
What a great group of cousins!
