It just so happened that during our visit to Phoenix my best friend from childhood, Marla and her family were doing their "staycation" at the beautiful Westin Kierland Resort. The Westin has an amazing pool, lazy river, splash pad and water slide. Marla and invited us to come hang out with them one morning. My sister and her family joined too, which was a lot of fun. It was so nice and relaxing just playing in the pool and cruising the lazy river. We really had a good chance to catch up on everything. Most importantly, I loved having that quality time with Marla who I don't get to see very often. Marla and I have a very special and unique friendship and love that I can completely be myself around her. We have constant laughter and good times when we are together. I can't wait for Marla (and her newborn boy due late summer) to come visit us in the Fall. Marla also has 2 gorgeous little girls, Claire and Catriona...it was so much fun seeing them as well. They are great mother helpers with my boys. :) .
