This Fourth of July was a bit different then previous years in that it was a day of POURING RAIN!!! No doubt we have had a very wet summer and it just didn't feel so much like Fourth of July when you couldn't go outside and play, bbq and watch fireworks, but we still did the best we could do and had fun. Grandma and Papa Lenning came up to visit, which always makes the holidays extra special, especially for Lucas and Sam who can't get enough loving from Grandma and Papa! :) Despite the rain cancelling our cities yearly music concert and fireworks display, we still managed to get some holiday spirit into our day. We did some baking and when night fell, we headed upstairs and got to view some of the fireworks our neighbors set off, despite the rain. :) Below are a few pictures of the kids baking up holiday treats and waiting patiently to watch fireworks.
