Thankful For Thanksgiving In The Smokies With Family

This year for Thanksgiving, we had actual Thanksgiving day at the house, but then we headed up North to the Great Smoky Mountains for 3 days. We were accompanied by both our families together on a trip for the first time. :) My parents who come each Thanksgiving from Phoenix had always wanted to see the beautiful Smoky Mountains and Les' parents have a time share up there, so all the stars were a line and we made a trip happen (thank you Gene and Lonna). Despite some cold temps limiting what we could do up there, we had a great time and packed a lot into 3 days! We saw Dolly Parton's Winter Holiday Stampede (a fun dinner show), did lots of shoppping, walked the town of Gatlinburg, drove up into the mountains and played in some (a tiny bit) of snow and did some kid friendly activities too (Magic Quest, kiddie rides, etc). It really was busy, but a blast indeed! The Smoky Mountains is one of my favorite places to visit here in Tennessee and its only 3 hours from our house. So grateful my parents got a taste of it too! Blessed for so many things this Thanksgiving, but always top of the list is our amazing families and how lucky we are to receive so much love from each other. Below are some pictures from the Smoky Mountains this Thanksgiving!
