This post is definitely bitter/sweet for me as yesterday was a super emotional day being Sam's last day of preschool and after 7 years with Forest Hills United Methodist Day School, my heart felt like it was in my throat all day. What an amazing 7 year run we have had with Forest Hills Day School, we couldn't have asked for a better school to teach, guide, nurture and most importantly love both Lucas and Sam. The lifelong friendships we have established over the years are precious and more then I ever could have dreamed of. We will miss that program dearly! Now as far Sam goes, I can't believe my baby has graduated and will be starting a brand new chapter of life in Kindergarten this Fall. Wasn't it just yesterday he was my little 6 pound baby boy? Well, I have to say, despite my tears that this sweet boy is getting bigger, we couldn't be more proud of him and the little boy he has become, especially over this last year. He has grown so much both academically and emotionally and he brings so much joy to us every single day. He has met so many friends at school and is deeply loved by anybody he meets, especially his teachers and peers. I know what will be most difficult for Sam (and myself) is him leaving these relationships behind next year and starting from scratch. I have no doubt that Sam will keep his old friends and yet be successful in meeting new ones as well. He has so much love and laughter to give and with a smile as contagious as his, he will fit in just perfectly at his new school and with his new friends and teachers. Congratulations baby boy Sam!! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you and excited for you to begin this new chapter of life. We can't wait to see all the great things life has in store for you. :))
