I love 4 month olds! I remember when Lucas turned 4 months old, we had such a blast with him. His bubbly and happy personality came out, his giggles and smile were so contagious, well, same goes for his little brother Sam who is now 4 months old and with that same incredible little personality. We are all so in love with Sam and can't seem to get enough of this little guy. He has such an awesome disposition....simply a happy-go-lucky little baby. Sam is one of the sweetest babies, so laid back and almost always with a smile (I can't possibly count how many times this baby smiles in the day, we just eat him up). He still absolutely loves to make eye contact with you and starting cooing away. He also loves watching big brother Lucas...it is the sweetest thing to see those two interact with each other. Thank you Sam for being the greatest baby I could ask for, I feel so blessed to be your mommy. At 4 months you:
weight: 16 pounds even (75th percentile, wow, who would of guessed)
Height: 24 inches (20th percentile, you got it, short and chunky, ha)
Head: 16 inches (50th percentile)
You feed 5 ounces every 3 hours during the day (about to switch to 4 hrs). You also have recently started rice cereal (one time per day, after your 7am feed).
Sleep roughly 10 hours per night, a good sleeper, thank goodness.
You can roll over from belly to back and while on belly you can push completely up with arms.
You are able to grab for toys and can hold small toys in your hand.
You bear full weight on legs when in standing position.
Very alert and follows voices and people everywhere in room.
Constantly smiling at us, cooing and giggling (your laugh is contagious). Squeals in delight.
Losing some interest in your swing and bouncy seat (will tolerate for short periods only), but you seem to go crazy for your jumparoo, activity center and exersaucer. Depending on the day, will like to sit in the Bumbo seat.
Only wants the pacifier when tired and instead is always chewing on your hand, you try to stick your whole fist in your mouth, which sometimes gags you and leaves chapped fists.
Unfortunatly, a slight increase in spit up which is wierd, but doesn't seem to bother you too much.
Overall, happy and healthy 4 month old, we are blessed!

very cute. i cant believe how he can push up on his arms like that. he needs to come teach rhodes a few things...like how lift his head : )
