Hello 2010

This holiday season was certainly a busy time for the Lenning Family, but I couldn't think of a better way to say good bye to 2009 then with the family and friends we were able to spend quality time with. A few days after Christmas our house became once again busy with out of town guests. Les' Uncle Steve and Aunt Jane came to visit from Minnesota. They are so wonderful, easy going and a ton of fun to have around. We see them about once a year and that just doesn't seem like enough. The boys really love all the attention they get from Uncle Steve and Aunt Jane and I love my yearly shopping ventures with Aunt Jane. Les' brother Layne, Kathy, Lydia and Lindsey also came back through Nashville for a couple days. Lucas is definitely on "cloud 9" when his big cousins are here, it's adorable to see how much they love Lucas and they all play so well togther. Sam has also enjoyed all the endless attention (and holding) he received from Aunt Kathy and Uncle Layne. Gene and Lonnna have also been here and I can't say enough about them. I'm very lucky to have such helpful and involved in laws and the boys love their time spent with Grandma and Papa. The last day of everybodies visit brought some extra special visitors to us from Huntsville....the wonderful Bendickson Family (Marc, Sheryl, Arletta, Jon, Michelle, Glenn, Amanda and all of their beautiful children). We had so much fun eating dinner and having the children play at Opry Mills. They then ventured to our home for some yummy dessert and more good times. The house was full of children playing and therefore full of laughter, who could ask for more. Now that everybody has departed (and Lucas is a little more bored without his buddies, ha) we feel grateful that we had the opportunity to greet 2010 with lots of great memories. Happy New Year to all of you....may God bless each and every one of you with lots of love, health and happiness.

The four cousins: Lucas, Lydia, Lindsey and Sam
It was so much fun watching Lydia, Lindsey and Lucas play together... Lucas misses his cousins so much now that they have gone home. He definitely got used to a house full of people and always having somebody to play with.
All of us Lennings

The kiddos: Caroline, Caleb, Lindsey, Andrew, Sam, Lydia, Lucas (this was not an easy picture to capture, ha ha).

The three beauties: Caroline, Lindsey, Lydia.

Andrew at play....what a sweet boy, so hard to believe how big he is getting.

The very busy and absolutely adorable Caleb and his mommy, Amanda.

Michelle and Sam

Sheryl, Kathy, Sam and Lonna (Sam has definitely enjoyed all the holding and attention he has had over the last couple weeks).

Was so sweet of Sheryl to take Lucas to pet the stingrays at Opry Mills...he thought these strange creatures were so funny.

ICE at Opry Mills...was a lot of fun, but very brrrrr....Lucas kept saying "my hands too cold", so we hurried pretty fast through it.

The ICE crew....Papa and Grandma stayed back with Sam.

Sam getting some attention from his brother and cousins.

My sweet, big boy Lucas.

Our second gingerbread house of the season....one would think we would be pros by now, not quite, ha ha.

We did an early birthday celebration for Lindsey who turns 6 this month...so hard to believe, feel like she was just born yesterday.

Lucas and Lydia having craft time. Lydia was so incredibly good with both Lucas and Sam.

Lucas, Les and Aunt Jane doing a little Rock Band in the basement.

More Rock Band....Lucas loves playing the drums with daddy.
