It's so hard to believe that my baby boy Sam will turn 5 months old in just a couple days on the 28th of Janurary. It has gone by way too fast, probably because we have all enjoyed every minute with this little guy (especially big brother Lucas who can't seem to get enough of Sam). Sam is truly a bundle of joy in everyway possible and our love for him continues to grow every minute of the day. When most people meet Sam, they can't get over how much this baby smiles and laughs. He truly has one of the greatest personalities and absolutely loves to interact with people. Sam especially loves big brother Lucas as he is always watching and smiling at what Lucas is doing. Words can't describe the joy that Les and I feel over wathcing our two boys interact with each other. Sam continues to change and do new things everyday, at 5 months:
Take 5-6 ounces of formula every 4 hours during the day. Eats rice cereal mixed with fruit 2 times per day (morning and early evening).
Sleeps 10.5 to 11 hours per night, still a great sleeper, thank you very much Sam! Takes an additional 2 lenghthy naps per day and a quick 30 min "cat nap" before his last bottle at 730.
Continues to grow stronger everyday and is starting to be able to sit up unsupported for brief periods of time. Constantly moving around and especially kicking legs.
Absolutely loves his jumparoo and exercauser. Likes to play with and pull on his hanging toys while in his activity mat or bouncer seat. Pretty much over the swing (I believe time to store that away).
Starting to give us those big wet kisses on our cheeks, sloppy, but we love them.
Continues to coo and very squealish, extremely loud ( a little piercing, ha ha) at times.
Has an extremely outgoing and sweet personality: Constantly smiling and giggling (laughs at almost everything, cracks us up). Very ticklish under his arms and will especially giggle when we kiss his cheeks.
Unfortunatly has lost majority of his hair (like his Papa Kaplan, ha ha), the new hair appears to be somewhat blonde or at least pretty light in color.
I like these next 2 pictures because they show the sweet bond Lucas and Sam have with each other. Lucas loves to try and teach Sam how to play with toys, so in this picture Lucas is trying to get Sam to push the button and in the next picture, Lucas was so incredibly proud of Sam because he finally did it! We get the greatest joy watching Lucas and Sam together. They truly love each other so much.

Those are precious pictures! Sibling bonds are so important. Sam is a good sleeper. It took Evie a long time to sleep that well.
Wow, Sam is such a beautiful baby! Your boys look so adorable and happy. Time must be flying by for you! I can't even imagine Cameron at 5 months, she only turns two months this week - time for her shots!!
