Of all the times we have been to Maui and driven by the Sugar Cane Train Ride, we have never actually stopped to take a ride. We have to pass this train everytime we head to and from our resort and Lucas is constantly pointing it out, so we thought lets give it a try. Actually only half of us rode the train as on this particular day Les (being a good sport and son-in-law) agreed to drive my parents up the volcano. They have always wanted to go, but dad has a fear of heights and the drive is pretty curvy, so he asked if Les wouldn't mind going along. Therefore, it was Aaron, Jen, myself and all the kids left to figure what to do. We decided to take a train ride and it was totally worth it. The train lasted about 45 minutes and pretty much tracked along the main road into the town of Laihaina. At first, I honestly thought it could be boring and not worth the HIGH price you pay for a 45 minute train ride, but the sceneary was beautiful and Lucas had the best time going over some pretty high bridges. All the kiddos (and parents too) seemed to enjoy the ride and next time we will have to take daddy along with us. :) :)

Taking a little ride on the train! Was the perfect treat for all the kids, something different to do.
Of course Lucas loves pretty much all trains and had a blast the entire time. He would just stare out the window and giggle.
Aaron, Jen and Ethan enjoying the ride.
I briefly sat Sam next to his big brother for the ride.
