Goodbye Sweet Home

Today, we officially close the chapter on our beautiful Dove Field Court home that we lived in for the past 6 years. Yesterday, Les and I went to the house, one last time as owners, to check everything over and clean some moving spots on the carpet....lets just say I got all teary eyed and definitely spent some time reflecting on all the amazing memories from that house. I became especially emotional while in the nursery because that is where my greatest memories come from as both my babies came home from the hospital to that room. With all that said, Les and I couldn't be more happy with our buyers, what an amazing couple with 3 beautiful girls. We feel so blessed that they found our home and our hearts (we have had the joy of getting to know this great family). I know they too will have many years of happieness just as we did.

With all of this said, what now for us since our new home will not be ready for a little less than a year? We definitely sold our home much faster than expected (not complaining though in this market). Therefore, we had to make the first of what will be a double move. We found a great rental house that happens to be in the same neighborhood as our good friends and about half a mile away from the construction of our new home, so convenient for sure. :) We are pretty much only unpacking what we need and so most of the garage will be stacked with boxes that will hopefully make our next move much easier, we hope! Wow, moving with 2 small children is no easy task and Les and I are still exhausted from it. However, a huge thanks goes to my AMAZING in-laws...we could not have done this move without them. They spent several days with us helping to move boxes the moving company didn't grab, unpack the rental house and entertain our boys...words seriously cannot describe how grateful I was to them. Even though they say they will be on a "cruise" next year "at this time", ha ha, we will be glad to take their help again. :) While all of these changes are hectic and overwhelming at times, we are so excited for what the next year will bring us and are currently having a lot of fun designing the new house. We can't wait to begin construction on our new home that will hopefully have 4 times the memories our old house had. :)

Was a great first home with fond memories.

...and it's SOLD

You made me cry! Moving is so emotional and you are right the nursery is the hardest room to say goodbye to as it's the most special.
