Now that Lucas is officially 3.5 years old, I thought it was definitely time for my special little boy to get a post of his own. Lucas is growing up way too fast on us and words truly cannot begin to describe how amazing this little boy is and how much love we have for him. He is loved by everybody he meets and lights up my life in every way imaginable. He simply puts warmth in your heart and a smile on your face. Not that we don't have our challenging 3 year old moments, because we do, but all and all Lucas is such an incredibly good boy with a heart of gold. Lucas is a good friend to everybody he meets and let me tell you, this child has a TON of friends that appear to love him very much...definitely makes me feel so good as a mommy. Other moms from school will come up to me and tell me that their child always talks about how they played with Lucas and want to play with him more. His teacher at preschool recently told me that a few of Lucas' friends will actually cry if they don't get to sit next to him at lunch. As much as it sort of makes me want to laugh, it is very sweet too. Speaking of preschool, Lucas is doing very well going 3 times per week. He recently got a wonderful report from his teacher and some of things she highlighted was that Lucas of course gets along very well with all of his peers and teachers, has an excellent attention span/listens well, impressive verbal skills and is grasping all of the concepts taught from the daily curriculum. This makes us very proud of our little guy. :) At home, one of Lucas' biggest achievements seems to be how awesome of a big brother he is to Sam. Words can't describe how much Lucas LOVES Sam. I truly don't think I have ever seen two siblings get along better than Lucas and Sam. Watching them interact together very frequently melts both Les and mines hearts. Lucas is the best brother in the world! Of course they have their moments at times, but overall, he looks forward to playing with Sam, helps his little brother out and already protects him. Lucas' loveable spirit is very apparant with Sam as he is always hugging and kissing on him too.
Okay, I will stop bragging (I swore I would never be that mom), but Lucas deserves it, so I did, ha ha. Anyway, Happy "half" Birthday to Lucas. I feel like the luckiest mom in the world....below are a few recent pictures of Lucas, actually from our Arizona trip. That post will be coming soon. :)
