It is defnitely not a trip to Phoenix without some excellent quality time with our good friends Eric, Becca and Kylie (age 4) Holt. Eric is a Phoenix Firefighter, so we thought it would be a lot of fun to go out to lunch (well minus Eric because he was at work) and then visit Eric at the fire station. Everybody knows that Lucas is in love with firetrucks and is especially very fond of his "Uncle Eric" too. Therefore, my little man Lucas was completely looking forward to a visit at Uncle Eric's firestation. It was a busy day for the firefighters as they had a bunch of calls while we were there, but Eric was extremely gracious in letting the kids play on the firetrucks, with the firehose and even taking a ride on the firetruck. Lucas is still talking about it today. :) In addition to all of this, I just have to point out how sweet Kylie and Lucas are with each other. They always play so well and really enjoy being around each other. Kylie is such a precious little girl and Lucas is still requesting that he get to play with her again. I also had a wonderful time seeing Becca and Eric....it is always so nice catching up with this great family. Now that we are home, they are already missed, but we will definitely look forward to the next time we all get to hang out. Eric had the sirens going while they took a short trip around the corner. Both Les and Lucas really enjoyed the ride. Sam and I got to watch from the side and it too was alot of fun. I love Lucas' surprised expression here. :)

Lucas absolutely loved getting to spray the firehose. He laughed and smiled the entire time. Was so nice of Eric to let him do that.

I think Sam thought this statue fire dog was real. He would go up to it and give it a hug or starting petting it. Yes, Sam is in a major love for dogs stage. :)
