Last week, our foundation on the new house was completed. Like I said before, this should have been completed about 2 weeks ago, but the constant rain literally put a damper on completing our foundation on time. It was so exciting to go out there and walk on what will be our basement. To say, "oh this is where a bathroom will be or our mud room will be", pretty cool. I'm sure that will become even more fun once it's framed. Since this is the house we want to be in for the next 30-40 years, Les had a great idea of putting the boys hand prints in the foundation. Something we could always go back to look at when they are all grown up. So, that's just what we did and the pictures are below. Our builder, Tyke, helped us with the task. It was a little messy, but well worth it. Next up: Framing to begin early next week (they have predicted 8 weeks for framing). Can't wait to actually see what our house will look like aside from paper...hope we like it, ha ha! :) Below are a couple pictures of the boys standing where the garage will be. Again, the level at which the foundation is will be our basement.
