Minnesota Trip: A Vist With Great Grandma Lenning

After Albert Lea, we headed to Minneapolis for a very special visit with great-grandma Lenning. Sam had never met her before and she has been very sick lately, so we thought now was the perfect time to go see her. This visit was so important, but emotional as well. Great-grandma Lenning has very advanced Alzheimers and she really doesn't recognize many people anymore. The children definitely brought a smile to her face, afterall, she loves kids and raised 6 of her own. I had to fight back a few tears...it is hard to see somebody in that state of mind. It was so good for Les to visit with his grandma and while it was brief, it will be cherised for a long time.
