San Diego Trip: Making Sand Castles

One of my favorite parts about visiting San Diego is hitting the beach. I have enjoyed Pacific Beach every summer since I was one year old and it means even more to me now that I get to bring my babies there. Both Lucas and Sam have come along way from the days that they were scared of the sand to now not being able to get enough of it. They love splashing in the water, making sand castles and simply just rolling around in the sand. We had a blast chilling at the beach this trip. We tried to get out there as much as we could. Everybody, especially Lucas and Daddy, took part in making some pretty impressive sand castles. The pictures below are from one outing to the beach (on this particular day Sam was upstairs napping) where Lucas and Daddy worked the whole time on a sand castle. I thought they did a great job!
Daddy, Lucas and Papa chilling at the beach.

Lucas has grown so fond of the beach this summer, I love it!

That is one cute beach boy. :)

The starts of a sand castle, took lots of hard work.

Having fun at the beach.

A quick shot with my busy sand castle maker.

Here comes Daddy to help Lucas make a masterpiece.

Daddy and son made a perfect team.

What are they planning? :)

Oh, of course....Daddy decided to make a sand castle replica of our new house. So funny!

....And whala, here it is...pretty impressive! Now, if only we could move in, haha! :)

So proud of their hardwork.

Papa was good at supervising this project!

Back to work on another project.

Getting the toes wet.

Isn't he a total cutie pie, love this boy! :)

Rolling in the sand....not a bad turn around for somebody that fussed over a little sand on his hands a few months ago, ha ha! :)  A great time on the beach!
