New House Update: Part 1 Pictures....

It has been a very busy month at the new house. Our builder and crew have been working very hard on the inside of our house and have made lots of progress! In fact, I took so many pictures that I have broken this post into 2 parts. This is the first batch of pictures and I will post some more tomorrow. Lets see, we now have hardwoods (not stained yet though), tile on the floors and showers (no backsplashes yet though), cabinets (not quit completed either, ha), doors, trim, stairs and granite! :) We have just finalized all of our paint and the painters will begin next week! During this time, we also picked out our lighting fixtures and hardware for the doors. I never imagined there would be so much to do building a house, but it does keep us pretty busy. We are still holding out for a between Christmas and New Years move. Nothing like a move to add some craziness to the already wild holiday season, haha!
These are the 4 cubbies that we had made for the mud room off the garage. They will eventually be painted and have hooks for back packs and coats. There is a bench and underneath there are slots for shoes. Finally will have some organization! :)

A peak at the stairs going from the basement to the upstairs. Under the railing will be rod iron spindles.

Basement kitchenette cabinets....still need to put some shelves in.

Granite in the basement kitchen.

Basement shower. Those little dots are tiny copper pennies (well, not real pennies of course).

Basement bathroom vanity and granite. Very hard to see granite, but this was Les' choice, ha! :) I was not a big fan of the green with big circles, so I approved it for the basement bathroom only, haha!

Master bathroom....my sink and vanity.  The granite for this is called Dark Emperdor and it's just different shades of brown. They hadn't installed it yet when I took this picture.

.....And Les' sink and vanity.

Our design on the wall in the master shower.

Master shower!

Our very, very dirty master bath tile. You can hardly see the true color, haha! The little diamond shapes in between the tile is what the granite will be on the vanities.

The crown molding paneling there doing around the front door.

Coffered ceiling in den.

Another look at the coffered ceiling in the den...we are going to have the ceiling in between the beams painted with a faux color to make the beams stand out.

Built-ins on each side of the fireplace in the den. They will be painted to match the antique white cabinets in kitchen.

A peak into the butlers pantry. As you can tell we went with very dark cabinets in there and for the kitchen island.

Installing the kitchen cabinets. The majority are antique white with a glaze and the center island is a very dark brown to match butlers pantry.

The section of cabinets that backs against the wall. They are definitely not complete here and still lack all the knobs, handles and crown molding to finish the tops of the cabinets.

Looking off to the side of the kitchen. Again the tops of the cabinets are not completed yet and still are not today. :)

A peak into my little office where I have a desk. There will be a granite slab on the top of the desk and the cabinets will be painted as well.

The laundry room cabinets are a green color and they ended up matching the tile really well.

More of the laundry room.
