Just a week back from Maui and we were all set to head out again for another venture. This one not too far, the Smoky Mountains with Grandma and Papa Lenning. Just a couple days before this trip, my poor little boys came down with the awful and dreaded hand, foot and mouth virus. They both had fevers and terrible blisters, were pretty much miserable (so was mommy). Therefore, the first couple days of our 4 day trip was little rough...although, I have to say getting away was a good idea because being in the Smokies and with Grandma and Papa definitely took their mind off feeling so crumby. We were so happy to be in the Smokies with Grandma and Papa. We always have a lot of fun together and do some great activities. Everyday, the boys felt a little better and we ended up having a good time. When we weren't at Dollywood and the zoo (posts to follow), we just hung out at the pool and on the mini golf course. Just a relaxing way to spend a few days away from home. I have to say the Smokies is one of my favorite travel destinations. It's close to home and there is just so much to do for the kids. Also, some really good shopping and places to eat...perfect mix for everybody! I hope we can return sometime this Fall. Below are a bunch of random pictures from just hanging out! :)

| I had to post this picture first because this was the grim (and now looking back, rather funny) situation just before we left for the Smoky Mountains. Both kids were very sick with hand, foot, mouth virus and this was just how miserable poor Sam was. Not like my Sam to just lie down in the middle of the kitchen, but this was how he was parked for a long time. Poor boy! :( |

| Grandma and Lucas! These are Lucas' built-in sunglasses, haha! :) |
| Back on the put-put with Grandma! Had so much fun mini-golfing again and Grandma isn't too shabby! :) |
| Good old laughs with Papa. |
| After dinner golfing with daddy. |
| One of our favorite restaurants in the Smokies: The Applewood Farmhouse Grill. |
| Everybody loved hanging at the pool! |
| They had a great children's pool which was perfect for my little boys to splash around in. |
| Every night the boys loved reading on Grandma's lap. |
| We also found an awesome splash pad on our hotel's property. The boys had a blast! |
