On August, 28th 2013, our sweet boy Sam turned 4 years old (see previous "Happy Birthday Sam" post). Since, we weren't having his actual birthday party for another week and a half (awaiting Grammy and Papa Kaplan's visit), we still wanted to make his "actual" big day as special as he is to all of us. :) I've always been one to believe everybody deserves a special birthday where everyone goes out of their way to make you feel special and that's just what I love and wanted to do for Sam. After all, it's only one day out of the year, so why not make it a good one!!! :)) On his special day, Sam woke to his Grandma and Papa Lenning coming to town and lots of birthday presents to open. He had pre-school on his birthday, so per Sam's request, we made "purple" cupcakes and Grandma and I paid an afternoon visit to his classroom with the cupcakes and Sam's favorite book to read to his class. I'm pretty sure that was a highlight for Sam on his birthday! He loved us being apart of his class singing "Happy Birthday" to him. In fact, Sam definitely lived his birthday to the max as anytime somebody would call to wish him a Happy Birthday, he would request to them "sing me Happy Birthday"...haha, love that boy!! :)) After school, we took Sam and his best buddies, the Karp boys, to Chucke Cheese for some games, pizza and cake! It was a busy, but excellent day and most importantly, a very special birthday for our beautiful little boy. Below are the pictures from his actual birthday. :)
