Lake Tahoe Ski Trip

This year for Spring Break we headed to Lake Tahoe for some skiing fun!! :) We were joined by our good friends, the Hoover Family (Brad, Michelle and Gabriel). Brad and Les are partners together and Lucas and Gabriel go to school together, so we all know each other pretty well. We were certainly glad they joined us, we had a BLAST!!! :) This was Lucas and Sam's second year on ski's and all year they had been begging us to go back skiing. In fact, when given the choice between going to Disney World or skiing, they chose skiing, impressive huh!? Ha! All the boys did ski school for the first 2 days and so while they were learning some good ski skills, us adults had a chance to hit the slopes on our own. We did take some time each day stalking down the older boys in their ski class and got some great video of them skiing down some big hills. I have to take a moment to brag, specifically about Lucas. WOW is the best way to describe that little 6 year old skier!!! :) After just 2 days of ski school, Lucas was skiing along side us pretty much the entire mountain and even begged us to take him down a black (we chose not to this year, haha). However, he skied each double blue and even hit up the jumping park staying on his feet while hitting some jumps and bumps. He truly was able to glide through the snow like he had been skiing for years. Most importantly, he loved it and we certainly loved having our little boy as our newest ski partner on the slopes, something we have always wanted. Little Sam did fantastic too, especially given his little legs that are still developing muscle strength. Sam was where Lucas was last year, so we really think he will take off next year. It's almost impossible for 4 year olds to be strong enough to pull those muscles together for a snow plow, but he did try and loved every second of skiing, we could hardly get him off the hill. Not to mention, he couldn't have looked cuter in all that ski gear! :) Les put Sam on the harness and he too was then able to head down the hill with us. All 4 of us skiing together on the last day was so much fun...something I hope we can do every year! :) Aside from skiing, we had a lot of fun with our friends, eating out, us girls (and Sam too, haha) taking in a pedicure on the last afternoon when the guys took the big boys on some big hills and just enjoying the hotel and all their little activities they have for kids (craft center as pictured below). It was a great week! Below are a bunch of skiing pictures and a few from the craft center (a favorite for my boys) and even a couple of Sam's first pedicure, which was hilarious! Can't wait for next year!
