It was so hard to believe how quickly Fall Break arrived this year...seems like we had just started school. Therefore, we were pretty unprepared and didn't have a whole lot planned until last minute. It actually worked out well because we decided why plan a trip far away when we have Grandma and Papa's house in Huntsville, AL only 2 hours away. We don't get down there near enough and the kids had been begging to hit up the U.S. Space and Rocket Center for months. They also love hanging out at Grandma and Papa's house, so this was an easy choice to make. We spent the long weekend in Huntsville with not only Gene and Lonna, but our good friends too...the Bendickson Family. While in Huntsville, we hung out with family/friends, visited the U.S. Space and Rocket Center and also ventured a little further West 45 minutes to Cathedral Caves. There, we toured one of the largest caves around and it was incredible for all of us to see. It was a 3/4 mile hike in and out where we saw some of the most beautiful rocks, creeks and fossils. It was cold and dark, but we took a guided tour and had a great time! Below are a bunch of pictures from our trip to Huntsville!
