I realize this 9 month old post is almost 2 weeks late, but our little cutie pie turned 9 months old in the middle of our recent 2 week travels (that post will be next). :) All I can really say is we all LOVE this baby boy to pieces, he is truly the best baby and little brother we could ask for. Watching him grow and change over the last 9 months has been so much fun. Sam always has and still simply reminds me of an old soul....always a sparkle in his eyes and a smile to share. He has this excitement for life and if you smile at him, he just about bursts with joy. He LOVES PEOPLE and the attention he gets from them everywhere we go. One of my favorite things about Sam is his dynamic, outgoing and sweet personality, it keeps us all smiling and very entertained. Now I will add that behind that sweet old soul of mine, comes a very busy and get into anything and everything side, ha ha! Sam is BUSY! He crawls, stands, cruises and nothing stops this little fella. In just the past few weeks I have had to baby proof my house more than I ever have in the 3 years that I have had my very very good boy Lucas, ha! :) Again, all of this just defines this little boy's personality. Sam is happy, healthy, growing and thriving in all areas and we are so honored to have him in our family. At 9 months Sam is up to the following:
Weight: 20 pounds, 12 ounces (60th percentile)
Height: 27.5 inches (45th percentile)
Head: 18 cm (50th percentile)
An excellent sleeper: about 11.5 to 12 hours at night, 2 naps per day.
Still takes 4 bottles per day, however, a couple recent issues of Sam not wanting much of his bottle at all now that he has a high liking of solids. :) Eats solids 3 x per day and loves to munch on little crunchies (his absolute favorite). Pretty good at taking water from his sippy cup.
Finally Sam has 2 teeth, they are not all the way up yet, but they just broke through.
Crawls extremely fast, pulls to a stand and can hold on with 1 hand, starting to slowly cruise.
Can play several games with you (peekaboo, how big is Sam), waves hello and starting to try and clap hands.
Babbles and talks constantly. Can say dada and will actually look at Les when he says it now. Working on mama, ha ha! :) When you say Lucas or Mama, he will appropriatly look at us.
Loves to play with balls the most and anything big brother Lucas is playing with. Sam is absolutely in LOVE with Lucas and gets so excited when Lucas gets up in the morning, it's the cutest thing to watch. They both make each other crack up!

If you say "how big is Sam", he will respond with his arms in the air as you say "so big"...he loves this cute little game.

Our cutie pie also has a trouble maker side to him and lets just say there used to be a plant under this table, USED TO BE! :) :)

he gets cuter and cuter. So glad we got to see him on his 9 month b-day. :) Miss you all and can't wait to see pics from Hawaii.
