Each year, Pilkerton Park in Franklin has this "Touch A Truck" event that just about captures the attention of every little boy around. :) All kinds of trucks were there such as firetrucks, police motorcyles, tractors, dump trucks, riding mowers, huge semi trucks....you name it truck and it was there. :) The children are allowed to climb on the trucks, honk the horn and do pretty much anything except drive away. Lucas' good friend from school Owen, his little brother and mommy Lisa asked us if we wanted to give this event a try, so glad we did! Owen and Lucas have been good friends from class over the past year and it was so much fun doing "Touch A Truck" with them. The boys had a blast climbing on several of the trucks and they stuck by each other the entire time. After a while, they got tired of the trucks and decided they would rather play on the slides, swings and sandbox, so we ended up doing all that as well. After the park, we all went out for Mexican dinner, was a perfect way to spend the afternoon. I hope we get to do this again next year. Lucas and Owen on a riding lawn mower. Lucas frequently goes to Home Dept and Lowes with Les so he can ride on their mowers, so he was excited to see a few at the park too.
Lucas and Owen are such cute little buddies and they had so much fun riding all the trucks next to each other.
