One year ago yesterday (8/28/09) at 2:47 pm my beautiful and precious son Samuel Lee Lenning was placed in my arms for the very first time. My life has never been the same since and in a very, very good way. Sam has been the best addition we could have ever asked for to our family. He has been 12 months of absolute joy and love, overall a wonderful baby. I don't know how it is possible, but we all fall in love with Sam more and more everyday.
Sam's actual birthday was simple and so much fun for all of us. Both my parents and Les' parents came into town to celebrate Sam's big 1st birthday. Instead of having a huge party, we decided to just have an intimate family gathering. It was the best decision ever as we were all stress free, casual and we just got to focus all of our attention on Sam as he took in his special day. We grilled out, had a delicious cake, opened gifts and just watched the boys play. Truly a perfect day! :) We took over a hundred pictures too, wow I know! Below are obviously not all, but many from Sam's birthday yesterday. You will notice that my other sweetheart Lucas is not in pictures, that was not on purpose, but that our big brother was too busy playing with all of Sam's new toys to ever want to stop and pose. :)
So honored to have Grammy and Papa in town to celebrate Sam's big day. 
Sam probably loved this balloon more then any of the gifts he received...I wish I were that low maintenance, ha ha!

Gift opening took an incredible amount of time because Sam was more concerned about tearing very small pieces of wrapping paper off and personally handing it off to a different person each time. This time it was to Grandma I think. We were all laughing our heads off! :)
