An Extra Special Easter 2011

April 24th was a very special day this year. Not only did we celebrate Easter, but my sweet Lucas' 4th birthday too (there will be an entire birthday post to follow). :) All I could say, is that it was an amazing day for all of us, especially Lucas. We headed to Les' parents house for all of 24 hours to celebrate Easter. It may have been a quick visit, but it was worth it because it was a wonderful day. We woke up and did birthday presents/Easter baskets, attended church and then had several family friends over for a delicious Easter lunch. Then, we completed the day with a giant Easter egg hunt (the boys third of the season) before heading back home. Lonna did an amazing job as always hosting the festivities and making sure everybody had a great time. The boys are always on cloud 9 when they are at Grandma and Papas house. Getting to visit with the entire Bendickson family and Pat and Bill Lummus also made Easter seem complete. Below are a bunch of pictures we took Easter day.

Happy Easter from our little Sam.

This year, the Easter bunny brought Sam something special....2 brand new teeth to be discovered Easter morning. No wonder he is all smiles right now, ha! :)

In addition to some teeth...the Easter bunny was very generous on the baskets too. :)

Digging into those exciting Easter baskets.

Grandma and Lucas Easter morning.

Easter 2011.

All our little sweeties gearing up for the big annual Easter egg hunt. From left we have Caleb, Andrew, Sam, Lucas and Carolyne.

Now those are some adorable kids. :)

This shot is funny because it was after we sent all the kids off to the egg hunt and Sam just sat there all by himself just smiling. We had to give him a little push to start the hunt. Maybe next year he will be a little more aggressive, ha!

A break with Grandma.

Sam looking like he is on a mission.

Nothing like a little help from daddy.

Check-out that basket full of eggs.

Sam caught on and check-out all of his eggs too.

Adorable outfit yet again courtesy of my dear friend Jane Ellen.

My sweet birthday boy.

Everybody running for some eggs. Fortunatly, we had over 100, so plenty to go around.
