Sam's Actual Birthday!

Even though Sam's actual birthday party isn't for another week (waiting on Grammy and Papa Kaplan of course), we still wanted to make his real birthday as special as possible. You could tell Sam is definitely starting to understand that we were celebrating a special day for him. For a few days, we would all sing "Happy Birthday" to him and he would clap and sing along with a huge smile on his face. August 28th was a great day for Sam and all of us. Grandma and Papa Lenning came into to town to celebrate with us, that was so special for Sam. We pretty much spent the day opening presents, putting them together (well papa and daddy) and PLAYING!!! The boys had so many new toys to play with and they were very entertained. That night, we had our good friends, The Karp Family, over for a tasty lazagna (Sam's favorite) dinner and cake. I think our sweet boy felt very special on his big day!  Below are a ton of pictures I took throughout the day. :)

Grandma and Papa Lenning being in town made Sam's birthday extra special. We can't wait for Papa and Grammy Kaplan to come celebrate in a couple days.
