Lucas just completed his first ice hockey session with the 4-week program the Nashville Predators offers, GOAL. What an amazing program for children to do one time from the ages of 5-8. It's 4 weeks long and the kids get to rent and use all the gear...well, keep their hockey sticks. Lucas has been taking ice skating lessons for a year now and just recently made the transition to hockey skates (much harder then figure skates). He had been doing great and GOAL came at a perfect time! We wanted to see if he would take to the actual sport of ice hockey before continuing with lessons. He took just great and did AWESOME!! We were so proud of our boy who by the final week was able to skate pretty fast around the rink with hockey stick and puck. He made a couple goals too! He learned so much and we look forward to continuing with this sport in the summer and then fall. Below are a few pictures...of course, it's hard to tell who is who when they all are about the same size wearing bright yellow. :) Oh, we did this program with our good friend Gabriel Hoover and it made this time extra special.
